Types of Music Videos

 Performance: A performance based music video means that the artist or band will be performing to the camera his category includes the recording of live performance, with the aim of demonstrating an artistic talent that is not captured in the recording, such as capturing the energy and enthusiasm of live fans. 

Narrative: A narrative music video tells a story through a chain of events. This may come across like a short film with the main character sometimes breaking the 4th wall and talking or singing to the audience.

Concept: Concept videos stem from a single idea which is usually unusual and unique for the audience. The unusual video attracts audiences.

Lyric: A lyric video is where the lyrics are shown on the screen and are the primary focus of the video. They often have creative fonts and effects. This makes the production of the video much cheaper.

Animation: These videos can include animations drawn by the artist or the music can be played over the top of cartoon or real things such as TV and movies.
