Artist digipack

A digipack is a printed whole packaging, normally use for CDs or DVDs. The digipack contains an internal plastic holder capable of holding one or more discs. They are less so used nowadays because of technology advancements. Accessibility to music is much easier and all you need is a platform such as Spotify where you can play it all the songs you want. Although this does not mean that digipack are no longer popular because having a physical copy of music can be more appealing to people and some hard-core fans may want this as a souvenir.

The picture above shows the front cover of the famous singer Adele's digipack for her album '21.' Each different number on Adele's albums refers to the age that she wrote that songs for the album. This album has a more darker theme to it with the majority of the songs being about love and heartbreak. Therefore, the album cover for this is fitting as Adele is pictured in black-and-white with her eyes close looking depressed and lonely which can be reflected in her music. The font used in this didipack is sans serif, this is a conventional font for a pop album. The font is very simple, meaning the audience can identify the artist easier possibly attracting a wider audience.

The back of the digipack (above) features another gloomy picture of Adele emphasising her heartbreak that could have lead her to write her songs in this way. Having a picture on the back of the cover is a less conventional feature with most colours being more simple on the back, however this could be so that the audience can identify the artist straight away. The songs in the album can be seen on the left side of the cover to show the audience what they will be receiving in this digipack. Having the songs printed in white on the black background makes him stand out a lot more,  appealing to the audience. The name of the artist being printed on the sides also helps the audience to identify who the artist is.

The album name '21' has been printed on the back with a very large font, making it look like it has been painted on, against a green background. This makes it clear to the audience what album is is and makes the disc stand out more.
